General Questions
Can I join iTL 2023 as an audience and not participate in both the Design-a-thon or Human Library?
To sign up for iTL2023 is to sign up for the Design-a-thon. Hence, participants will be a part of the Design-a-thon and are strongly encouraged to participate in the Human Library. This is so that participants can obtain valuable insights from the discussions, as well as gain inspiration for your ideas by engaging with our facilitators!
Are there carpark lots and free parking for participants?
There are basement carpark lots available at Google but no free parking for participants.
Can I come for the event if I am on the waiting list?
We will inform those on the waiting list via email at least 1 working day before the event, should there be any vacancies.
Can I do a walk-in registration during event day?
Participants must register before the event day as we have limited spaces available.
Is participation in iTL free?
Yes, it is absolutely free!
Pre-event Questions
When does registration close?
Registration for our event closes on 20 February 2023 at 11.59pm.
Is there a dress code for the event?
The dress code for the event is business casual.
How is my Design-a-thon team formed?
There will be 5 members in a team. The assignment of team members will be based on the problem statement submitted during registration.
Event Questions
Do I need to stay for the entire event?
You may leave after the prize-giving ceremony. The Guided Tour of Google HQ at 5.30 pm is optional but all are encouraged to stay for the opportunity to explore the Google venue!
How long is the Guided Tour of Google HQ?
Each tour will be around 15 - 30 minutes depending on the route taken by our Google guides.
Is water provided during the event?
Yes, water is provided during the event, but plastic water bottles are not given out due to environmental sustainability. We encourage our participants to bring their own water bottles.
Is lunch/dinner provided? What about tea?
Snacks for morning and afternoon Tea breaks and Lunch will be provided.
I have special dietary restrictions, who should I inform?
“Halal”, “Vegetarian”, as well as “No pork, no Lard” meals will be provided. Please indicate your dietary preference in the registration form.
I may have to be excused for Friday prayers. May I leave for a short while?
Yes. We appreciate it if you could let us know early so that we can make the appropriate arrangements for you.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, the Google venue is fully accessible via lifts and ramps.
